Shrewd Wit Incorporated (“Shrewd Wit Inc.”, “we”, “us”) operates shrewdwit.com. This policy explains what information we collect through the website, how we use it, and the choices you have. You can reach us at educator@shrewdwit.org.

• Information you give us. When you use our contact, workshop-request or speaker-request forms, we receive the details you enter, such as your name, email address, organization, message, event date, topic and estimated number of participants. If you sign up for the free sample or our newsletter, we receive your email address and, if you give it, your first name.
• Orders and payments. We do not take payments or card details on this site. Books are bought through retailers such as Amazon or Books2Read, and the retailer’s own privacy policy applies to your order.
• Usage information. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. It collects information such as the pages you view, your approximate location, and your device and browser type, using cookies or similar technologies.

• To respond to your questions, workshop requests and speaking inquiries.
• To send newsletter updates you have asked for, including new essays, book news and workshop dates.
• To maintain, secure and improve the website.

We do not sell your personal information.

We share information only with service providers that help us run the site and respond to you, and only to the extent needed for that purpose. These include our email delivery and form-handling services (EmailJS), our email newsletter service (Kit, which stores subscriber email addresses and sends our emails), our database provider (Supabase) and Google (Analytics and Fonts). Some pages also include third-party content, such as a GoFundMe widget or an embedded YouTube video, which may set their own cookies. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

We keep inquiry and newsletter information for as long as it is needed to respond to you and to keep a record of our correspondence, or until you ask us to delete it. The site is served over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

• You can unsubscribe at any time with the link at the bottom of every email, or by emailing us.
• You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing educator@shrewdwit.org.
• You can block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings, or use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

This website is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when it last changed.
